While the feminist commentary was nothing new to me personally, I still found myself nodding along, especially throughout the audiobook hearing it spoken in her very familiar voice (she narrates it!). I definitely enjoyed the more personal aspects of it, like what her family means to her, and some of her story as to how she became the Drew we all know and love. I dunno, I just think she’s  fun!

On the concept of uncertainty in one’s purpose; the discomfort of not knowing:

“What if that is enough for now? What if we’re both trying to answer something much too big before we’ve answered the small thing we should have started with? What if it’s enough, to just be…”

“Us.”

One thing a Becky Chambers book will do is get me a little teary. I’m obsessed with the way they tackle existential crisis with the gentleness of a warm hug. I would give anything for our world to work the way this one does.
