I picked up this book used because I remembered loving All Creatures Great and Small. And this was not in the slightest bit less beautiful and touching. I don't know how he does it, but ... wow. Beautiful, touching, sad, and hopeful. An honest book that makes you either want to be a veterinarian yourself or have a healthier respect for them!
