The Break-Up Pact by Emma Lord

I have not read from Emma Lord yet, i hope to read her other work soon. I loved the food talk AND Juneโ€™s best friend. However, this one did not hit the spot fully but i still had a good time reading it. The fake dating did not work with me, the friends to lovers i think is not for me. In all this was not for me but i see it could be for other readers.

Mainly the sports part/interning, too many people for me to remember, trying to understand the person for the audiobook and with my brain power i just know if i keep going i wont be doing good for the book as i will likely space out more than once.

I freaking love Kelsey and Georgina and their friendship they have together. Both workaholics coming together for a road trip was perfect. This whole saying yes to just about everything is something i think everyone needs to do once in awhile in life.

๐Ÿ’™ Romance
๐Ÿ’› Road Trip
๐Ÿ’™ Girl Power
๐Ÿ’› Saying YES!
๐Ÿ’™ Celebrating Being Alive

The only thing i have a hard time with was the love at first sight moment but i can by past it for the meaning of this book. I think i will look into reading some more of Courtneyโ€™s books as this one was really well written AND the authors note the end indeed has spoken to me deeply.

I seen the name and the fact i am obsessed with beauty and the beast so obviously i had to read this one but also being i recently read Beachy Keen and enjoyed my time, i needed to read this one. Truth i think i plan to read all of the other books as well when i can.

Phoenix and Holland are the cutest and their relationship is one of a kind. His family on the other hand are very much trash and i am happy with how the ending went.

๐Ÿ’› marriage of convenience
๐Ÿฉต brotherโ€™s best friend
๐Ÿ’› hate to love
๐Ÿฉต prank wars
๐Ÿ’› โ€œthatโ€™s my wifeโ€
๐Ÿฉต sizzling chemistry
๐Ÿ’› summer vibes

I am giving this one 3.5 wishing it was as good as beachy keen but i still enjoyed my time with it. I found myself not fully wanting to pick the book up as much as i wanted to.

I loved how cozy this book was, kinda reminded me of Legends & Lattes and donโ€™t get me started on Caz the sentient spider plant who is so just so freaking adorable, i now need one for myself.

Kiela being a librarian and not much of a people person is very much up my alley and more to it would be how she had encountered some anxiety and how much she pushed through her fears.

The narrator did a splendid job on this, i literally read this in one day and her voice was not tire some, it was more to the factor i needed to listen even more. The sound affects for a certain plant was good and i enjoyed my time.

๐Ÿ’› Found Family
๐Ÿ’š Cinnamon Roll Man who builds book shelves and raises merhorses
๐Ÿ’›Sentient Plant Friend
๐Ÿ’š Rogue Librarian

The only thing i felt was the ending was quite quick to me, kinda like there was no more time to go more into depth. In ways i actually thought there might be a book two because of where we were but alas i donโ€™t think there will be.

I enjoyed my time and very much will be recommending it to my friends.
