This book is definitely an improvement on the series. It is with this book that I understand what the hype is about.

Beats second-book curse.

I have a feeling the theme for the Bridgerton series is: men are stupid, especially when it comes to love. And honestly, I'm here for it.

He didnt want kids, she wanted kids. Due to regency societal expectations she didnt completely understand the pull out method and just thought he was infertile. She feels decieved.... So one night he gets drunks and she gets on top and doesnt allow him to pull out.

Its messy. It kinda sexual assault. I am unsure how this series got as big as it did and a Netflix deal if this is the starting point.

I can't believe I read this as a kid with the amount of incest in it. I am amazed I was able to stomach how much incest was in this time around too.

I did not read the blurb that came with this, was solely going on vibes and have many regrets.

Immersive thriller that's a blend of Colleen Hoover's Verity meets What Ever Happened to Baby Jane twist at the end.
