Muy enternecedor hasta decir basta. Se trata de una historia de lo más interesante donde hay algo más que amor, y eso lo considero una de sus grandes fortalezas. Lejos de los contenidos muy azucarados, seguimos con el desarrollo de Taichi y Kohei, ofreciéndonos nuevos retazos de lo que pasa por sus cabezas, de sus historias y lo que buscan en sus vidas.

Considero un acierto muy grande que esté situado en un ambiente universitario (por la edad, ante todo), pues se trata de un momento en el que, si bien uno ya va en camino hacia lo que quiere hacer, las preguntas sobre el futuro están muy presentes.

Y el final… Te emociona porque te agarra del corazón por lo que lees. Merece MUCHO la pena y continuaré leyendo hasta que se termine.

So fucking cute. This story keeps showing something more than love, and that is one of the main strengths of the "I Hear the Sunspot" series. We keep following the development of Taichi and Kohei's relationship and their own worlds, offering us more than just how much they care for each other while they're growing up thinking about what kind of future they want to have.

As I said before, I am on board with all of this. Nowadays we need more than ever stories that show us a different view! And the end of volume 1… WOW, I didn’t expect it, but I loved it (and almost make me cry a little!).

Lo resumiré en una palabra: drama.

Siguiendo la línea de novelas gráficas del Universo Avatar, este se centra en algo que me moría por ver desde hacía bastante: el regreso de Katara y Sokka al Polo Sur. Como era de esperar, las cosas han cambiado mucho desde que se marcharon con Aang, aunque no todo es tan bueno como algunos lo pintan.

Sabía, ya por el título, el problema que tendría lugar. Se puede entender el alcance de los sucesos si se ha visto The Legend of Korra, basta con rememorar los episodios de Aang donde estuvieron en el Polo Norte para comprender lo diferentes que son las tribus del agua y los problemas que podrían surgir. Y aunque esta primera parte es eso, un inicio, espero que suceda algo guay, todo por ver a Katara y a Sokka repartiendo un poco de leña (o agua). ¡A por la continuación!

Drama, that what it is about.

Following the graphic novels from Avatar Universe, this one is focused on something I was waiting for a long time: Katara and Sokka going back to the South Pole. A lot had changed since their departure with Aang, and not everything is as marvelous as it could be.

By reading the title I knew (a little) what would happen, especially after watching season 2 of The Legend of Korra. However, just by remembering the few episodes from Aang at the North Pole you will understand how different the tribes are and the threats in this story.

Part I done, enjoying the water duo (Katara/Sokka) fighting a little. See you in Part II!

Esto era justo lo que necesitaba. Una lectura ligera, muy entretenida y nada pesada. No es perfecta, ni mucho menos, pero cumple genial su función y considero que ha sido una manera maravillosa de empezar la historia de Dendro. ¿Por qué? Veamos:

— Lleva un paso más allá lo de la realidad virtual y un RPG que vives con tus propios sencillos. No es un juego mortal, tampoco hay una malvada corporación detrás con un plan de conquista. De manera simple y llana, es un MMORPG en el que a todo el mundo le gustaría estar.
— Con esa premisa vemos los primeros pasos de Ray en Dendro, explicando los detalles que son pertinentes (ni más, ni menos) para que lo conozcamos mejor. Esto crea una atmósfera excelente, sobre todo porque te identificas con cualquier jugador novato que está empezando, leyendo por ver qué más oculta la historia, por simple que pueda parecer.
— Muchos critican al protagonista (Ray) como que no les entusiasma, o que es “demasiado poderoso”, pero las batallas están muy bien narradas y llevadas, explicando el por qué de todo, dando un realismo a toda la magia de la que muchos deberían de aprender.
— Hay pocos personajes, pero no son necesarios más. De hecho, esto ayuda a que sean recordados con más facilidad y que cada uno aporte algo concreto, tengan un mayor protagonismo o no.

La única pega, en todo caso, es que es el inicio y no hay tanto movimiento como a muchos les gustaría. Pero asienta bien las bases sobre lo que va a suceder, ¡así que seguiré visitando Dendro las veces que sean necesarias!

This was just what I needed: light and funny reading. It’s not perfect, but accomplish his missión very well and it’s a wonderful start for Dendro. Why? Well…

— It takes one step beyond when talking about virtual reality RPG. It’s not a mortal game neither has an evil company behind, plotting to conquer the world. It’s just an MMORPG that EVERYBODY would love to play.
— With that in mind, we experience Ray's first steps, learning with him. This creates the perfect atmosphere for exploring the world, identify yourself with any rookie player.
— Ray receives a lot of critiques because He’s too OP or not the main character who gives you cool vibes. However, most of the terms in this story are REALLY WELL EXPLAINED, making it more realistic and a perfect example that lots of writers should learn about.
— There are a few characters, only the necessary ones. This helps to remember them, especially when they have so much to offer.

There is a BUT. It’s the start of Dendro and doesn't happen a lot. However, is worth your time because, if my guess is right, it’s going to be awesome!

2,5/3 stars. I didn’t hate it, but I’m not plethoric about this book either.

I don’t think this book is meant for me, even when there are a lot of things that caught my attention.

Bisexual main character? Check. A story with a lot of writing? Check! I almost jump from enthusiasm to start reading it but… I find in these pages something different. At first, I was thinking of writing a PRO/CON list, but I am going to get to the point.

1) It’s an insta-love. I don't have anything against if it is well written, but the more I read, the more I roll my eyes. The MC is bisexual and her Love Interest is gay, everything ok with that, but I didn’t little how bisexuality is represented in this book (It could be SO MUCH BETTER).

2) Sebastian doesn't think that He’s bisexual because of “the guy thing”, even when Tanner explains it to him. I understand why the book shows us this, but there are other ways (better, in fact).

“You are not bisexual because you are into dudes” is one of the worst things you can say to anybody with this orientation. This stigma where bisexual people have to prove their sexuality just because of dating someone of the same genre is awful D: And the book tells us (more than SHOWING) that Tanner is bisexual, and with him tries to face many stigmas (this is REALLY GOOD), but I don't think that the author did a wonderful job with this.

3) The story about writing a book in four months… OK, fine. I’m a writer, I know is possible to do it. BUT I was expecting something in the line on Fangirl (sort of), and even when the title gave us a clear hint (AUTO-BOY-OGRAPHY), I was hoping for something else.

4) LOTS of characters. We see five or six, but the rest that got to be named are just that.

Maybe the hype about this book killed it for me. It is not a bad book, but I think is far from perfect and no the best example of bisexuality representation.

Dejando a un lado lo que me encanta la portada (no por algo es al azul mi color favorito), se trata de una lectura ligera y muy tierna. De las pocas donde funciona bien el “de amigos a novios” que tanto se ve en muchas historias. Los protagonistas están muy definidos, aunque no son los únicos. Hay una gran variedad de personajes con sus diferentes puntos de vistas e ideas. De hecho, la escritora no teme en ponerlos tal y como son, incluso si esto hace que los deteste (y pocos no hay así!).

Quizás el final ha sido muy apresurado para mi gusto, igual hubiera podido darle otra forma y que no quedara como la típica historia que te hace sentir bien y pasas a la siguiente lectura. Aun así, merece la pena el drama que viven y el desarrollo que nos ofrece.

Besides my love for the cover (blue is my favorite color after all), it was a light and a cute reading. This is one of the few cases (in my opinion) where the “friends to lovers” work so well. The main characters are well developed, but they are not the only ones that deserve to be mention. Almost every character in this book shows different types of mentalities or behaviors, and the writer is not afraid that this may lead us to hate some of them! This is so fucking rare nowadays and I really appreciated it.

However, I consider that the end was too rushed and maybe it would be better if it had been written some other way, instead of just looking for a feeling good finale. However, it's worth reading!

Corto y muy ameno. Puede considerable un buen libro puente para otros que sean más pesados. Los personajes (en especial Maya) están muy logrados y aunque la historia es típica, lleva un ritmo muy llevadero que no resulta pesado (al contrario, me lo leí de una asentada).

Este segundo volumen me ha resultado fascinante por la variedad de personajes introducidos. No son muchos, pero dan mayor profundidad a la historia, cada uno teniendo la suya propia. Es interesante lo que puede cambiar la vida de uno al tomar ciertas decisiones, sobre todo cuando no son las típicas que la sociedad vería como correctas o “la norma habitual”.

Dije en su momento que me encanta cómo evoluciona la relación de Kohei/Taichi, y lo mantengo incluso cuando sus problemas se solucionarían COMUNICÁNDOSE, por el amor de dios. Pero el drama vende y hace el doble de interesante el manga.

Como plus, sigo manteniendo que esto es “más que una historia” donde ambos se enamoran. El hablar sobre las discapacidades, la vida de los personajes… Todo va más allá de “la relación”, y eso lo hace mejor. ¡Porque el mundo está lleno de gran variedad de historias y enfoques!

Limit Volumen 2 was fascinating, thanks to all the new characters. There are not many of them but are enough to enrich the narrative, each one of them having its own story. It is interesting how to live change when you stop doing what society considers as worth it because you decide your path.

I said in previews reviews that I LOVE how the relationship between Kohei/Taichi goes, even when most of their problems would be fixed if they talk about it! But drama sells and makes this manga more interesting.

As a plus, I am still saying this is more than a love story, and even when they are the main characters, this kind of detail makes it way better than most stories. After all, the world is full of different angles worth your time!

Me encanta esta serie y he adorado en todo momento cómo ha sido desarrollada, los personajes que han sido incluidos y el camino que ha llevado. Una parte de mí se siente triste porque la he terminado, pero siempre puedo regresar a este mundo. ¿Tiene momentos intensos? Desde luego, sobre todo porque es la última parte, pero también vemos la tan ansiada conversación, la acción entre ambos protagonistas y el resultado final.

Fumino ha logrado expresar todo tipo de sentimientos con sus personajes, e incluso aunque algunos salgan con menos frecuencia, no te olvidas de ellos. Están muy bien desarrollados y no dudaré en releerlo y tomar nota, pues hay mucho entre estas páginas de lo que se puede aprender.

I love this series so much and how it was developed from beginning to end. The characters, their stories, the world around them, and everything is just so refreshing, and yet so hard sometimes, but nothing to scare future readers. After all, this is the last part of I Hear the Sunspot! The much-expected conversation between Kohei/Taichi and much more happens here, so yeah, it is intense, but I highly enjoy how it ended.

Fumino manages to show a lot of feelings in every character, even when they are not as relevant as the main couple or closest friends. I know I will read it again and learn from this story because there are so many things between these pages worth your time!

Ha mejorado mucho en comparación con el primer libro.

La historia no puede ser más sencilla, una misión aleatoria que debe cumplir en Infinite Dendogram. Sin embargo, la manera en la que ha sido diseñado el videojuego, además de la escritura en sí, hace que te mantenga atento en todo momento.

Si en el libro anterior adoré lo bien desarrolladas que están las peleas, en este no es menos. De hecho, esos detalles donde mezcla magia y tecnología se encuentran tan bien hilados que no me importaría disfrutarlo yo mismo.

Como detalle extra diré que, tras el final, hay un cliffhanger que marcará otro tipo de historia, una que está desarrollando desde el principio de Infinite Dendogram. Y es una que no me pienso perder.

I was so much better than the first book.

The story couldn't be more simple, a random quest appears. However, the way Infinite Dendrogram was developed, plus the writing, makes everything more interesting and appealing.

In the previous book, I loved how the battles were written, and this one is great. Every detail about magic and technology is so well developed that makes you invest in the story.

As an extra detail, after the end of the mission/book, the cliffhanger makes you think about a bigger plot that had been going on, one that I’m excited to read in the next volume!

Quizás he pillado con ganas esta relectura, aunque iba con pies de plomo mientras volvía al universo de Pierce Brown. ¿Me gustaría tanto como en su momento? ¿Pillaría los conceptos en inglés, pues ahora quería ver cómo se desenvolvía Brown sin traducciones? El resultado ha sido más satisfactorio de lo esperado.

—Fácil de entender y de leer, aunque hay momentos en los que resulta complicado por los términos que utilizan a la hora de hablar (diferencias entre Rojos y Dorados), te acabas habituando mucho.
—El Worldbuilding es una de las cosas que más he disfrutado >3
—También adoro la de cantidad de veces que Darrow mete la pata a base de bien. No es un Dorado, por muy “Gary Stu” que pueda parecer. Y es que si no se equivocara perdaría parte de su encanto. Esto sucede con él y con otros tantos personajes igual de carismáticos.

¿Seguiré con la saga? Desde luego. Total, hay que hacer tiempo hasta que salga el sexto libro, ¡y estas novelas enganchan demasiado!

I have been looking forward to this rereading with a bit of fear. Would I like it as much as my first time? I would understand the novel/concepts in English because now I wanted to see Brown prose without translations? The result has been more satisfactory than expected.

—Easy to understand and read, although the slang adds some difficulty (differences between reds and gold). But you get used to that!
—Worldbuilding is one of the things I’ve enjoyed most >3
—I also adore the number of times Darrow fails. He is not Gold and far from perfect. This happens with him and with so many other characters equally charismatic.

Will I continue the series? Of course. After all, I need something from this universe to read until the sixth book comes out!
