The fact that I have to wait for the final book is a crime, this was so so so good and I am so excited for what’s to come in the finale.

This is too much of a slog to get through and a tiny bit predictable, it’s disappointing as I was super excited to read this book.

The characters aren’t good, I can’t be in Gwen’s had and Arthur is better but not by much

The writing in this book was outstanding and so was the story of Athene and Medusa. I enjoyed how it wasn’t the typical story you’re given it was true to the history and written with a lot of respect too, I wish it didn’t have to end but I’m happy I read this as I’d like to read more of Natalie Haynes work.

I recommend reading this at least once some point in your life, as it shows the realities of censorship and what could happen.

I never expected this duology to be as good as it turned out to be. I was very hesitant at first as I like to try keep expectations a bit lower but I was blown away by both books, especially book 2. I’m so happy I read these and I’ll forever remember these and keep them close to my heart.
