Holy shit. Genuinely one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Horrible, slow pace with awful, insufferable characters that lit a hate fire within me. Should have known for how dog shit the Landscape movie was. This was for a book club and I wanna unfriends the person that made me read this.

I didn’t know going into this book that it was the same author as the seven husbands, and with the Little if you want to call it a twist at the end, it was very obvious and I did like it a lot. I’m gonna watch the show now.

I have never cried harder to book. I really went into this thinking it was this lighthearted romance book, but I was so pleasantly and devastatingly surprised at what this story actually was it reminds me a lot of my own writing, and has such a unique and beautiful way of taking you through this story. Highly highly recommend, but not if you aren’t trying to cry in public.

This felt eternal, like a god themself. I got about halfway and was like “Jesus fucking Christ is there a reason that nothing has happened this entire book?” And the ending is cute but she ends up with her step son lolllll
