A Girl on the Shore by Inio Asano

I am confused. I did not understand what the author's message was. Maybe I didn't read it thoroughly, maybe I missed the signs, maybe I misunderstood something...At first I thought it was about the two protagonists and their weird relationship. But then it was just so much going on and I feel like I didn't really get answers to anything. The art was beautiful though. Overall, this was not a manga for me, but I am considering re-reading it

Yes, I cried. It’s cheesy and the plot isn’t new, but it sucked me right in. I was genuinely invested in character’s emotional development.

I was so hyped for this. I was a little bit disappointed with the story. It did not captivate me. It lacked something. I can’t quite put my finger on it. But I felt like the story had gaps. For once, I actually wanted to know more about the world.
The art was beautiful though.

Had me with the book cover.
This book is beautiful on the inside as it’s beautiful on the outside.
“Food feeds the belly, thoughts feed the mind, but love is what feeds the heart.”

I love the idea of this story. The art is beautiful. Characters are interesting, but I was not a big fan of “missions”. It gets too repetitive for me and all I want to do is to skip the pages which aren’t relevant to the main story.
Overall, very enjoyable. I do want to read more as I’m intrigued by the main story, but I won’t be purchasing more physical copies.

Living-Room Matsunaga-san, Vol. 1 by Keiko Iwashita

Cheesy? Yes. Cute? Yes. Original story? No.
Typical slice of life, falling in love with the obvious. I really liked the setting. The characters are relatable and easy to like. Matsunaga annoys me a little bit with his childish behavior at times. But it’s only volume 1.

I’m not crying, you’re crying. This reminded me of the movie “Me before you” so much and I’m obsessed.
This was not what I expected. It was more “mature” than I thought. I thought it would be something cheesy and disgustingly cute, but it was everything but. Sure, it started with this “cute” story of having a crush as a teenager, but all of a sudden it was “I couldn’t date a guy in a wheelchair” and that’s when it hit me. The way the emotions are unfolding, the dilemmas from both able and disabled point of view, man, I was shedding tears by the wholesomeness and sadness at the same time.
This manga is a heartbreaker. I am buying the whole series as soon as my paycheck arrives.
