This is a romance book that truly took me through a whirlwind of emotions!
I'm not a huge fan of the trope used, but it is still a beautiful story.
Many of the characters don't develop that much, and the only who has noticeable growth is Nina.

This a YA novel and it shows. Everything is PG and the POV is definitely a child. It is a quick read and shows the consequences for your actions.

This is definitely a YA style book. The content and the ways it reads are good for a younger audience.
That being said, I loved how flawlessly Moreno-Garcia wove in Indigenous stories throughout the novel. I learned so much about the Mayan people and their worldview through this book. It's truly beautiful
