And again I realized I shouldn't read classics from before 1900. I just didn't like the writing style.
It also reminded me of the classic Doctor Who episodes.

Reason to dnf:
Just wasn't in the right mood.

Same problem as the first time I read the book, the middle part is a bit slow. Beginning and end are great.

Plot und Worldbuilding besteht hauptsächlich in der ersten Hälfte des Buches aus "lass uns shoppengehn", Männer anschmachten und etwas Mystery um die Statuen und Rückblicke.
Erst in der zweiten Hälfte des Buches nimmt der Plot langsam Pfad auf. Hätte ich das Buch nicht von der Autorin persönlich auf einer Messe signiert gekauft, hätte ich es wohl vor der Hälfte schon abgebrochen.

Die einzigen Charaktere, die ich etwas interessant fand, waren die Mönche und Eduard. Mit dem Großteil der Charaktere konnte ich gar nicht mitfühlen und mir war es im Endeffekt egal was mit ihnen geschieht.
Ich kann absolut nicht nachvollziehen warum Alistair anziehend wirken soll, oder das ist einfach irgendeine Vampirverführungsfähigkeit.

Schreibstil war in Ordnung. Teilweise waren die plötzlichen Perspektivwechsel verwirrend.
Hab auch paar Rechtschreibfehler gefunden, aber das Buch ist ja self-publish, da drück ich mal ein Auge zu.
