Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
Couldn’t grasp the book, the storyline and the characters were extremely bland.

Brilliant book; loved the character development throughout and how Nesta started to understand her thoughts. The relationship between cassian and Nesta was beautiful as well as reflecting common thoughts amongst couples today of one might not be good enough for another, and when their relationship blossomed it showed they were perfectly matched in spirit.

Brilliant book! It was beautifully written and great use of POVs from different characters. I loved that it wasn’t war focused, it felt like we got to see how each character lived straight after the war for prythian. Great book just what was needed after ACOWAR

Great book, very well written. The twists and turns were great. I enjoyed the intense moments of war and how every character developed in their individual way. The ending was a heart wrench but throughly enjoyed.

Twisted story; enemies to lovers vibe. Very character development driven with little plot. Enjoyed much the same as the first.

Very spicy, has a dark twisted romance sort of vibe to the book. Excited to read the series and find more about the rest of the characters and the plot line.

This book highlights sexual assault, misogyny, infertility and murder all in one. At times I found it hard to read due to the multiple different POVs and perspectives. The characters all had depth but felt jumping back and forth throughout the book made it less engaging, I would have preferred the background first and then the current affairs. The book does hook you in and and keeps you guessing who the suspect really was, however close to the end you figure it out quite quickly. The characters were diverse with lesbian couples, a trans woman and religion. Overall a good book.

Brilliant book, at times it was predictable in terms of storyline and the ending. The characters were well written, it made you love some while others you were more prone to dislike. The plot is what really drove this book, it’s a definite page turner.

This book was brilliantly worded with themes of the senses, feminism, food, culture, misogyny and relationships. The translation is amazing and needs to be commended. The story is well written and even though the book is longer it leaves a sense of wanting to read more. It’s the perfect length as each chapter creates backstory and depth for the individual characters involved. It highlights modern day issues within Japanese culture but it also relates to the wider picture of the world’s issues relating to body shape, size and beauty standards.
