taliafoster has so many potentials especially the second chance romance after yeaaars of separation is one of my favorite tropes, i'm quite disappointed that it doesn't turn out to be what i was expecting :( wasn't a big fan of foster in the first half but glad to see his character develop throughout the book. their relationship develop a liiiittle too fast... and i need a scene where someone calls talia by that doctor title she deserves.
i really don't like the fact that they kept having sex in every chapter when i thought talia hasn't fully forgive him yet... throws me off. and what happened to rachel and dex was unsastisfying...
indyryan can adopt me as their kids but even if not i'll still call them PARENTS!!!
ryan shay is the type of man you bring home to your mama and proudly showing him off everywhere. he got that all five languages, and perhaps six if you include sign language to that as well i mean cmon he learns to sign so he can talk to indy's dad while her shitty ex never did it in all the years they were together??? that's a perfect definition of a gentleman. i see myself indy's sentimental self and i love that she could brightens up everyone's days like the sun. my heart is so full it could burst, no words can express enough how much i love indyryan and how perfect they are 🩵
here's my story: i want to read wildfire so bad but i don't like starting a series not from the first book, and since my first try reading icebreaker wasn't it so i tried the audiobook and it did not disappoint.
natestassie's romance had me swooooning <3 and the spice was a surprise—well, spices. don't let the cute illustrated cover fool you. OH, BUT the uber scene still doesn't make sense to me, like how big is the uber car in the US that their friends didn't notice that?? not even slightly peeking to the backseat?? yeah. but the other scenes? chef's kiss. all the characters interactions are soo funny and entertaining the banters got me giggling every time. also, henry's my favorite i'm so happy to find out that his book is coming soon! ><
moral of the story: think the book is boring to read? try the audiobook!
whatever spices and ingredients devney perry put into this book, i am EATING. IT. UPPPPP.
knox eden our grumpy chef is actually a big teddy bear, and oh, don't we love a man who fed his woman well!!! and yes, i die a little more every time he calls memphis "honey"... literally the 'biggest grumpy teddy bear to ever exist', as my girl maine would say. memphis's backstory got me in my feelings and she certainly did NOT deserve all that. i'm so glad the character i hated - which i'm not gonna say the name but when u read it u will know - gets what they deserved. memphis is a great mother and deserves nothing less than the best days that knox swears he would give her and baby drake 🥹
genuinely can't get enough of griffwinn!! the suspense mystey brings me to a whole new level of small town romance and i LOVED. IT. idk why i don't read this sooner. everything was wrapped perfectly from the feet-kicking romance of griffin and winslow to the mysterious death in indigo ridge.
also griffwinn is literally nickjudy from zootopia no one can tell me otherwise! winslow 🫱🏻🫲🏼 judy being intelligent girlbosses characters
