This was a quick ghost story. Cozy horror. Everything starts with the MCs mom dying which drives her back to her family home where everything begins. The last quarter of the story kind of goes off the rails but the first 75% is interesting, creepy, and intense.

This was fucked up. Like, when necrophilia is the most normal, bland part of the book you know it’s just gonna be messed up. That’s all I have to say about that.

I feel like this could easily be the predecessor to Tampa with Vanessa becoming a teacher. Male teacher takes advantage of and molests his students. The POV is of the girl justifying the abuse due to her manipulation. Difficult read but really highlights gaslighting and manipulation well.
