After thinking about this book I liked it more then afzer just finishing it. I think it‘s a book you need to reread a few times to really get it. But I enjoyed the writig style and will for sure pick up anlther of kafkas books

I really enjoyed reading this, it‘s a great beginning to tolstois writig style if you want to read some of his longer books like anna karenina. I think that it discusses importat philosophical questions about death and the fear of death that we usually don‘t talk about.

I read it in frech, which i don’t understand that well, that‘s why it was even harder to understand. The main-character is extremly interesting but I didn’t get his pov till the very end. I think a second read is probably the best option if you really want to understand the novel.
But honestly I think this discusses lots of great themes and topics you wouldn‘t think about if it wasn‘t for this book. That‘s why I think you wouldn‘t go wrong with this choice and should probably read it.
I gave this book a 4⭐️ review because it was captivating to read. This book made me think, and I mean really think, and read actively like no book in a long time has.
