Charming and pleasant little read. Just a fun, feel good historical romance with a diverse cast.

I found myself invested in the polt. Eager to see how the story panned out and, in the end, I cared about the characters.

But I thought the book was way too long. It was easy to skim a bunch of  unnecessary text.

And it took well past half the book for me to actually care about the characters.

It was an ok read.

I put off starting this audiobook because it’s almost 17 hours long and I was like wow that’s intense.

And now that it’s over… I’m sad that it’s finished.

I loved everything about listening to Leslie Jones Tell her story. I especially loved the ad-lib off book Portions.

Must so good.

Go listen to it.

So good.

Alison Cochrun has such a gift for writing honest, approachable, lovable characters. They feel like family at the end of the book and it’s almost sad to turn the last page.

Such a lovely book. About such an unlovely topic. Except also it is lovely.

The authors poetry background is apparent and the writing style is stunning.

I found myself incredibly reflective. Of myself. My life. My divorce. My  betrayal. My marriage. My children. My parents. Me.

I’ve been thinking about the fact that so many things can be true at once. And also nothing is true at all.

It’s a beautiful book
