This is a trio of historical romance stories. My favorite was the second story because I appreciated the fact that the main characters actually talked to each other instead of letting gossip cause a misunderstanding. The stories have varying levels of spice.

This was a rather interesting look at an aspect of history I previously knew nothing about. It kind of made me want to visit Beaver Island. The author also gave interesting insight into the culture of the time. I will say though that he is not consice and the book is, well wordy, is the best way I can describe it.

I picked this up because the title cracked me up. This wasn't very deep, like most Love Inspired books, but it kept me entertained while I wasn't feeling well.

I originally thought this was going to be the story of an Amish guy being all crazy and the girl who made him want to be better but it wasn't and I actually liked the way it turned out.

I had trouble getting into this book. I don't think it was anything overly terrible, it just wasn't really my style. It was a Western but there were things about it that didn't feel western, and felt more modern. There were moments that didn't feel well developed.
For example, I have no problem with the wedding night fading to black, but it was weird to me that both Deb and Trace were nervous about the wedding night but then didn't even discuss it either before the fade to black or after. It was like "why is this even here?"

I just didn't feel like the characters were all that well developed and the story itself was fine, but nothing to write home about.

Once again, I am caught up in Brandon Sanderson's world. And this time the series is unfinished...

This book was insightful and also sad. It's frustrating to think about how Hinton was robbed of 30 years of his life due to Prejudice by the court and officers. I don't know what the answer is, but it sucks that this happened.

This is more of what I was looking for in an orc romance, I think. I liked the story, I loved the world building, the sex was okay, but I loved that the heroine wasn't some lithe, five foot chit with a perky bosom. Definitely recommend this one if you are looking at getting into orc smut.

I've decided I like Mimi Matthews. Another nice romance. This one is set in the Victorian era. They are a nice read and I plan to check out more of her books.
