Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich
1.0
Didn't like this one that much. I was bored at the start, then I proceeded to read every few pages because I just wanted to see how it would end. I'm tired of the same old stories, Stephanie never grows as a person, she's always making the same stupid mistakes, she is STILL torn between Joe and Ranger and it is all starting to get a little stale for me. I found this book in particular lacking in the humor department. Usually, even if I don't care about the mysteries in this series, the humor gets me through to the end of the book. Not this time - there was too little humor to count. Snoozefest. I feel like Evanovich is just phoning them in at this point.
The Three Weissmanns of Westport by Cathleen Schine

I read this in June but I forgot to add it to my shelf. I don't remember much about it now but it had a few funny parts, some touching parts, nothing earth-shattering to my recollection. I don't really get the comparisons to Sense & Sensibility. Why are so many books being hailed as some modern version of a Jane Austen book these days? It's ridiculous, if you ask me.
The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood

This was my first Margaret Atwood and I wasn't really that fond of any of the characters overall, though I do think she is a good writer. I didn't like the book much but I had to see how it ended so I speed-read.
