I watched the movie before rereading and now I might just have to rewatch the movie again (though I wasn’t super impressed by it the first time). More or less met my expectations, considering I didn’t remember anything but knew this had been one of my favorite Sarah Dessen books in the past. Sarah Dessen’s books are what got me into YA when I was young, but I definitely reached a point in the past where her books felt TOO formulaic but having read more romance now, I kind of don’t mind? Might just have to go (re)read some others now.
