This was EXCELLENT. Such a good angle for a Warhammer horror story with plenty of immensely enjoyable politicking and a non-demon related horror element.

Great characters with a story that kept me both engaged and guessing the whole time.

Men will really go on a 10, 000 year long crusade instead of going to therapy.

I really enjoyed this, although it feels a little wrong to. Real life serial killers are not to be romanticized but I felt this book avoided that angle by having the killers they go after be clear pop culture analogs, so it made the book a bit more pulpy.

There are still plenty of things that would constitute as 'poor taste' at best, still I felt the romance angle/amazing audiobook performance really had me enjoying this one.

I am both anticipating and dreading the sequel.

First Bradbury I've ever read and boy was I missing out.

The plot is relatively simple but the execution is so ripe with verbose flowery language that I absolutely adored.

The horror was genuinely pretty creepy and for a book from the 60s this aged extremely well.

This was a great time, I read one of the villains novels a few months back, and it encouraged me to go back to read some vintage fantasy goodness.

For some reason I expected Dragonlance to be a more tame, family friendly version of DnD buut uh....this book goes for it. The aftermath of brutal dragon burnings felt more brutal than 90% of horror books that I've read.

This isn't perfect but it has a great cast of characters with a really interesting overarching plot. Plus Dragons.

Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this, was my first Al Sarrantonio and it does A LOT. I was expecting a pretty typical haunted carnival story, but there was a lot more at play.

Cosmic Horror, Ireland, Samhain, creepy little ladies, all tied together with one DRUNK ass detective.

This wasn't super slow paced, but it wasn't super fast paced, I guess this is the rare medium paced novel.

Sarrantonio beautifully sets scenes with very vibrant atmosphere.

The Carnival stuff is only in the last act.

Typical wackadoo Stine plot with some genuinely spooky sequences and an extremely goofy ending.

Good stuff.

This is a ton of fun and genuine surprise.

What on the surface appears to be a pretty typical fantasy story, in actuality there are some fun deeper layers at play. The book is WAY more queer than other entries into 80s fantasy playing around with sexuality and gender in a very fluid natural way.

The plot is nothing completely new but the journey between the two characters is a blast. Would definitely pick up more from this author.

This was a TON of fun, Butcher nails the character, and the quip page quite well.

Set in one of my favourite eras of Spider-Man where he's a married adult working as a part time science teacher, this nails both the big bombastic Spider battles with the more on the ground human levels of the character.

This was a surprise in terms of villains as this introduced characters whose ideas would be used in the Spiderverse comics. Unlike every other appearance of Morlun and his ilk, this story somehow makes them work in a way that is very fun to read. Good action with a ton of fun sciencey aspects to the duels.

Great fun.

This is an excellent short story collection that dives into some of my favourite legions and Primarchs in some really interesting ways.

It also serves to fill in a few gaps for the Horus Heresy line.

My favourite story being the exploration of writing propaganda for the Imperium.
