It took me a day to finish this beautiful thing. I really loved this book, okay?

This book is easily one of my favorite books of the year. The romance is so raw and beautiful. The characters are incredibly written and likable, even the side characters that I normally don't even pay attention to. I fell in love with the story, the politics, and everyone involved in it. I cannot wait to see what Amazon does with it, I can only hope that they can give my First Son, Han and HRH Prince Leia justice.

I had no right to love this book, this story, these characters as much as I did.

Yep. This is my favorite book of the year. Calling it now.
Thank you for Netgalley for an ARC of this upcoming book.

I went into this book only knowing that my best friend loved it and devoured it. Plus when I see a book explained as a crossover of two of the arguably some of the best books of our time, I am skeptical. This was exactly as mentioned though. If you are wanting a Handmaids Tale meets Lord of the Flies, this book is 1000% for you. The twists and turns in this book make you feel like you are in the middle of the action. While the chapters are super long (theres only 5 in the book at the time of reading), they go by so fast. I finished it in two sitting, and I am left wanting to know more about the future of Tierney and her family.

I really just laid here and finished this in 4 hours. This is probably my favorite CL book, hands down.

There is seriously nothing by Katharine McGee that I wouldn’t read. This book truly captured me from the beginning. I am obsessed with drama and anything Royal, and this certainly fit the bill. I cannot even begin to think of how I am going to wait for the 2nd book of this series. I feel so close with the Washington’s and Nina. Daphne can go on somewhere, for all I care.

So glad I could start 2020 off with a 5 star read from one of my favorite authors!
