reading this book felt like a chore. it was so slow paced, and i found myself making excuses not to read it. also, literally the entire main cast is white. there are a few black characters sprinkled in, but they are heavily stereotyped. overall, way too slow and boring.

i liked it, but the romance was underwhelming. there was a lot of in in the start, and nothing in the middle, but picking up at the end, which was confusing. Also, it was EXTREMELY obvious that Sebastian had something to do with the murders. Overall, i liked the murder mystery aspect, but the romance was random.

if you’re looking for a cute queer romance, this is it! i would have liked a bit more development on both of the main characters personalities, but other than that, i liked it! :)

I loved it in the beginning, and then it was revealed that the main love interest had a parter already, and when her and the MC got together, they were cheating on her. the author kept trying to redeem the MC for knowingly sleeping with someone who had a partner by calling it “her queer awakening”?? left an awful taste in my mouth and the ending was so unsatisfying. telegraph club was a 5 star from me, and this book was disappointing. :(
