Didn't even really like it when I was 12. Pretentious and trying-too hard, an easy read though

Good introduction to sociological issues/attitudes towards class in the UK, however does manage to prop-up some of the ideas it is writing against.

I loved the writing style, it was engaging and easy to get into. I wasn't such a huge fan of how female characters were portrayed throughout the first half, however this is redeemed later on. All in all, a charming fantasy tale, I would happily read more about Yvaine.
