I honestly quite enjoyed this poetry collection, however poetry isn’t something I necessarily enjoy reading so despite it being good I won’t rate it higher since I wouldn’t read it again or recommend it.
I AM ON THE FLOOR MY WHOLE WORLD HAS BEEN ROCKED. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE PLOT TWIST I HAVE JUST WITNESSED. OMFG. SURE I THOUGHT SHE OVERREACTED A BIT BUT THIS LAST PART MADE UP FOR EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE BOOK I DIDNT ENJOY THE MOST (a couple of small details) AND IT DESERVES THE FIVE STARS. HOLY. FUCKING. HELL.
A PERFECT MIX OF COMEDY ROMANCE AND SUSPENSE. It was literally building for so long, especially Warner’s and Juliette’s relationship and it all payed off at the end!! I love Kenji so fucking much he adds so much life to these books and to the character’s lives, it wouldn’t be the same without him. Adam was such a dick tbh I never thought he could turn out this way. But seeing Warner caring for Juliette so deeply, saving her even if it meant he could never be with ger and that she would end up with another man??? That’s the kind of love we all wish to have. 🥲
I feel like the second novella didn’t really add much to the story, much as it did only tell us the 10 pages of the previous book but from Adam’s perspective-things we would’ve found out anyways. The first novella however… I’m always intrigued to see Warner’s POV and it did not disappoint. It started setting up the character development or rather moral play through of his actions and you realise hes not a bad person like at all.
This was such a fun read, I loved the easy readability of the story and the slow introduction of all the important information instead of dumping it at the beginning. It definitely shows from time to time that this is supposed to be YA but it isn’t that bothersome. New things kept happening, ones I didn’t even expect, and it is also worth noting this was meant to be read as a series which is evident from the start. The plotlines aren’t completely finished, the story ends on a cliffhanger and it makes you want to see what happens. I am currently team Adam and I have no idea how Warren will come into play here but i guess i’ll have to wait and see.
I don’t t even know how to begin describing this book. I would dare to say it’s even more traumatising than Saltburn. None of the characters are lovable, every single one makes hurtful and selfish decisions, dragging eachother lower in life than them. Even after studying this book in school I cannot figure out what its point is. To me, it was a waste of my time. I barely made it through and I disagree with the level of praise it has received.
It was fine, I didn’t particularly care for her (didn’t know she existed lol) or her life but it was a story. The decisions made at times didn’t seem like something a normal/rational person would do so it sounded like she was making it up.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
3.5
I liked it but its so similar to Every Summer After i couldnt look past it, and i liked that one more. I hated the way the guy tried to belittle the fact he cheated to make her feel bad for not calling after that. Tbh not their biggest fan but i do love a good childhood best friends to lovers romance.
