This instalment of the Gamache series did not suck me in as some of the past ones have, although elements of the story were beautiful. I was truly upset by the resolution, but only because I have grown to love the people of Three Pines so much over the past several books.

A beautiful and tragic read. I listened to the audiobook while reading the physical book which was a great way to experience it, especially as the audiobook includes a lot of throat singing. Highly recommend experiencing the book in this way if you can.
