“I feel it all and nothing. I am alive but not living.” “I dare you. Hit me. I don’t even need to lift a finger to destroy you.” “You’re like an annoying chihuahua or golden retriever.” “We were two strangers tied together in hell.”
Rockstar, stalker romance with slow burn, trauma and vengeance.
I really liked Fallon as a FMC. Even though she was a successful and famous singer, her life wasn’t easy. Her past was painful and tragic, but she was able to stay strong and keep fighting to right the wrongs. She was a fierce force to be reckoned with.
The MMC Kage was obsessed with Fallon and willing to do anything for her. He was able to understand her, her past and her trauma.
I enjoyed the relationship development between Fallon and Kage, and how Kage was there every step of the way in Fallon’s journey. The slow burn was well written, and the chemistry between the characters was great.
There were some really funny moments, but also heavy, hard moments. In my opinion Fallon’s trauma and trauma responses were well written, and seemed realistic.
I haven’t read the other books in the Legends and Love series, but it didn’t affect my reading experience, and in my opinion, this book worked well as a standalone. But after reading this one, I definitely want to check out the other books in the series.

The blurb of the book sounded interesting and I really wanted to like this book, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. I almost DNF’d it but decided to push through.
The idea of being sent back in time was interesting and the storyline felt promising at the beginning, but it unfortunately went downhill for me after the first few chapters.
I personally didn’t see any real chemistry between the FMC and the MMC, and felt like they didn’t even like each other after all. The FMC seemed to be just annoyed by the MMC. Also, the mating bond fell a bit flat for me, and I felt like it didn’t really change anything between them.
I don’t know if it was the writing style or what, but I didn’t feel for the characters. There were some parts that should have been emotional, but made me feel nothing. And partially because of the lack of emotion, I didn’t feel connected to the characters at all.
There was some (in my opinion) unnecessary repetition, like the mention of icy blue eyes, MMC’s nickname for the FMC etc.
The world-building of the book seemed interesting and I liked the mixture of older fantasy world and new, more modern world.

“The beast may have claimed her as his, but this time she’s mine.” “Tonight we will find our beauty. We will take her back to castle. She will be ours.”
Quick and easy to read Beauty and the Beast retelling with some spice.
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite fairytales, and I love reading retellings of it.
The book was told in two POVs, Elle and the Prince/the Beast. A lot of the story was told through inner monologue instead of dialogue. At times, I would have liked to see more dialogue instead of monologue.
There were some parts that felt a bit repetitive, and I would have personally preferred the pacing to be a bit more consistent, instead of feeling quite slow at times and rushed in other parts.
The magic seemed interesting but left me with some questions. I would have liked to learn more about the curse and how the dynamic between the beast and the prince worked.
I liked the ending, and how it was different from the original version.

The blurb sounded interesting but unfortunately this book wasn’t for me and I had a hard time trying to get into the story and also trying to connect with the characters.
I personally didn’t like either of the main characters. They weren’t badly written or anything like that, but personally I found the FMC to be quite annoying and naive, and the MMC abusive and narcissistic.
If I understood correctly, the books in this series could be read as standalones. I haven’t read the previous book and I was so confused by what was happening at the beginning of the book, who the characters were etc. It’s completely possible that I understood it wrong and you can’t read the books as standalones, but if the books are in fact interconnected standalones, it would be helpful to have some kind of introduction to characters at the beginning of the book.

I really wanted to like this book, but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. It wasn’t a bad book by any means, but I personally had a hard time getting into the story and connecting with the characters.
There was a lot happening, but for some reason, I kept zoning out and had to read some parts multiple times to understand what was going on.
The premise was interesting, it gave me Caraval vibes but a little darker (similar magical/mystical feel, one sister enters a game to find her sister, the events take place at night, etc).
The world seemed intriguing, with different beings like necromancers, ghosts, phantoms, etc. I would have loved to learn more about them at the beginning of the story.
Of course, I can’t comment on how the book ends, if the FMC finds her sister (probably yes), how the rest of the nights unfold, etc.
Thank you NerdFam and Netgalley for the ARC. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
“It’s only murder if they find the body. Otherwise, it’s just a missing person.” “Maybe you should handcuff me just in case. Teach me a lesson?” “Your hands are tainted with murder. And yet I trust them completely.” “My beautiful killing mate. My partner in crime. My little killer.”
This book was absolutely amazing! I’m speechless.
I loved Jane as a FMC. She was strong, fierce, and talented, and I loved her character development. Her life wasn’t perfect or easy but she was able to overcome the obstacles and the traumatic experiences. I was interested in her as a character and instantly wanted to learn more about her and her past.
Also, both the MMCs, James and Alex, were interesting characters with different backgrounds. I have to admit that I’m usually not the biggest fan of love triangles, but in this book the love triangle aspect worked really well and was well written.
James and Jane had an instant attraction which resulted in some nice, spicy scenes early in the book. Reading about their interactions at the beginning of the book made me feel like they’re made for each other and that they’re soulmates.
The relationship development between Jane and Alex was slower paced, but not any less intense. I loved how Jane and Alex had this instant deep connection, and how easily they were able to understand each other. They were similar in some ways, both being artistic and also having a darker side.
The spice in this book really was spicing, and there were a lot of great spicy scenes! 🥵❤️🔥
The storyline kept me hooked from the first pages to the end and I finished reading this book in one sitting. The writing was captivating, making me feel like I was in the middle of the story, and I couldn’t put the book down.
There were some really fun parts that had me chuckling (“Aww. What’s wrong? Can’t handle being hit by a girl?”), but also some really dark and sad moments that made me cry. I love it when a book makes me feel for the characters, and this one truly did.
There were so much happening, and at times the pacing was quite fast, but it never felt rushed. The book ends with a huge cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to read the next one!

I really wanted to love this book, but I have mixed feelings about it. There were some parts that I really enjoyed, but unfortunately also some parts that I personally didn’t like.
The beginning, maybe the first 25% of the book, seemed really promising. I liked the Tangled/Rapunzel vibes of a princess being locked away in a tower while everyone in the kingdom thinks she’s dead, and of course the dragons. Also the world seemed really interesting and was described well.
The beginning of the quest also seemed interesting, but unfortunately, after that the storyline went a bit downhill.
The whole book takes place in about 10 days and there was way too much happening in those days (enemies to lovers, quest, finding a dragon, discovering powers etc) and everything happened way too fast. I personally would have preferred the pacing to be a bit slower, so there would have been more time to explain and explore things a bit better instead of running around and rushing through the whole story. Also, the timeline could have been a bit longer. Maybe this could have been separated into two books?
The FMC was quite naive, and I don’t think she really grew up or learned that much during the story. And again, the relationship development between the FMC and the MMC just felt rushed. They went from fully enemies to lovers in a few days.
There were some things I wish would have been explained more, and also explained earlier in the book. For example the whole reason why the FMC was “locked away” wasn’t clear to me at first. Also, the whole Scalekind thing would have, in my opinion, needed more explanation (why/how the FMC was Scalekind, what does it mean other than being able to communicate with dragons etc). Also at one point her blood was being drained and drunk without any explanation.
While I usually enjoy descriptive writing, there were some instances where things that weren’t really important for the story were described in too much detail. Also, at times I would have loved things to be shown instead of being said/told.
This book was really YA, and I’m sure a lot of younger readers will really enjoy this book, and I think I would have loved it as a child. The fact that it was YA didn’t affect my rating because I knew that before reading.
I always feel bad saying negative things about debut novels, but these are just my honest opinions. I don’t think this was a bad book by any means, and writing this is a huge accomplishment, but it could have maybe used a bit more work and editing. There were for example multiple paragraphs throughout the story that said exactly the same thing with slightly different wording.
Also, this book has been marketed as a mix between Fourth Wing, Powerless & Lightlark and/or Fourth Wing & Tangled, and I’m afraid that comparing this book to FW might unfortunately cause some problems, because then people are expecting the book to be more like FW and if/when it’s not, it might affect their opinions about the book and the ratings. That said, the comparison didn’t affect my experience with the book or my rating.

“I’ve sold my soul to the devil, and now I’m his watcher.” “The Exodus sends their regards.” “Call me your Karma.”
Short and spicy novella with a secret society, a masked MMC, and a vengeful FMC.
This was a wild ride in the best way possible. Even though the book was short, there was a lot happening, and it didn’t feel rushed at all.
I loved the dynamic and the enemies-to-lovers aspect between the FMC and the MMC. They were both crazy and unhinged in their own ways, but they were a good match. I enjoyed the constant power shifts between them. Also, the spice mixed with the FMC's “stabby nature” was great.
And, of course, I loved Petey. He was adorable and brought a lot to Knox as a character. He helped to show more of Knox’s softer side.
I really enjoyed this book and would love to read more about this couple!

The FMC Liora’s world changes and she has to learn and adapt quickly. I liked her as a FMC and grew attached to her and her story. The characters overall were well developed with interesting backstories and I can’t wait to learn more about them.
I enjoyed the banter, tension and relationship development between the FMC and MMC and can’t wait to read what happens to them in the future.
Also the magic system seemed interesting and I would like to learn more about it. I would have also liked to see a bit more world building and descriptions about different places etc.
The plot itself was interesting. The pacing was okay, the ending felt maybe a bit rushed, but otherwise the pace was pretty good.

“Forever mine, forevermore, through dust and darkest ash.”
Short (93 pages) Halloween monster novella.
The first part of the story focuses on the FMC and her experiences with bullying. I found this part to be a bit slow. The story picks up after the MMC, Jack, is introduced. I personally would have preferred less focus on the bullying and more on the FMC and MMC, their dynamic, and relationship development. The ending felt a bit rushed.
Jack seemed like an interesting character, and I would have liked to learn more about him.
