Gorgeous. It's like John Green for queer folks who need happy endings. The Unbury Your Gays trope, as McQuiston called it. 💕🌈 💕

Casey McQuiston's character development and dialogue is absolutely perfect. From the very first page, I regretted every moment over the last year that I'd picked up another book instead of this one.

I much prefer The Dublin Murder Squad books, but this was still a nice read.

I was hoping for funny ... But it was fairly unfunny, so that's a shame. It is a stark portrait of depression and the scars of familial dysfunction. Mostly, it's sad.

Oh it's fiiiiiiiiinnnneeee. I wanted to know who got murdered and who did the murdering. Figured that out, so it was worth the read. But the writing itself was meh.

Loved it! Loved the insight on teen girl relationships, the relationship between the detectives, and the complexities of a boarding school. Loved to see Mackey back, but as a side character. What a book!
