Weird, but I liked it. It’s about people and relationships, and then it’s very suddenly all about taxidermy again. LOL

The plot was a great pace and kept me invested. Love a look into another culture.

Enjoyed the anthology! Definitely would never have read all of these independently. They collection was fun, and some were creepy, but not horror.

Easy listen/read. Sounds like a conversation or an interview. Not just about HP, but mostly about HP.

The journey of Private Investigator unraveling college rape culture is similar to Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow.

I found kinship with the author’s dysfunctional family, being disowned, going no contact, and wrestling with the childhood trauma.

Once I started picturing the format as a tv interview with all the cuts between people they are interviewing, it was easier to follow.

“KAREN: Sometimes I wonder, if I was Graham, maybe I would have wanted a baby, too. If I knew someone else would raise it, someone else would let go of their own dreams, someone else would sacrifice and keep everything together while I went and did what I wanted and came back on weekends…maybe then I might want a baby, too.”

I really liked some parts of this book but largely it dragged on. Many narrators were hard to track in audiobook format.

I’ve read so many non-fiction climate science books this year…. So the topics the book tackled were timely and interesting.

Totally bored with the plot and the tropes now. This one was just gruesome and violent and no 🌶️
