It's a good book but it didn't really grab me as I expected it to. I tried to read the physical copy a few times but never got very far and thought listening might work better. The narration was good but I still found the book a little wishy-washy. Fascinated with the fact that they turned such an internal piece into a play.

Essentially the story of a woman having a nervous breakdown who, instead of getting the help she needs, decides she's in love with a man she's spent the last 5 years despising, all due to them exchanging 3 messages a piece anonymously in a fucking puzzle book.

A story about stories in a book about books. Visually stunning. Feels like a theatre performance of dreams.

Despised the disability representation that was Campbell Alexander. By the end the whole thing was getting a little eye-roll-y. I might come back and change my rating as right now I'm trying to be fair to the book as a whole and not be swayed by how much I didn't enjoy the ending. Also, the fact that Jesse gets away with what he was doing, so much so that he becomes a decorated police officer? Stuff like that just rubs me the wrong way.
