Thanks so much NetGalley for an advance read in exchange for this review!

Let’s start with the cover! This cover is very eye catching. I love a good cover that is going to start off the books journey.

I am a massive true crime junkie and when I was given the opportunity to read and review this book about the #1 most prolific serial killer I was anxious. I knew baseline information about Samuel Little but this book outlined the details and went into the lives & stories further of the cares and victims. Thank you to the author for taking so much care and time to piecing it all together for this.

This book will be sought after by true crime and crime junkies throughout and I feel as though this book should be on every crime junkies shelf. These women’s stories need to be heard as hard as they are to hear. They heartbreaking and I always sit and wonder if he gave up all of his victims. I am happy to see that hundreds of cases can be laid to rest and families have answers. This man was a very terrible man.

Solid four stars from me! This book is a must read for those who follow true crime and unsolved crime alike.

Wow is all I have to say after reading this book. I also will say PLEASE know that there are TW within this book. This book was by far the most emotional experience I have ever had reading. The way this author wrote this book was exceptional. Lisa Harding kept the stories very authentic and true while respecting the graphic nature of the situations.

The way she brought to life and light the stories, struggles, pain and hurt of the main characters in this book — two teenage girls, different countries was out of this world. Each coming from different background and their voices were so unique and they felt so real. My heart cried out for both of them the entire way with each page turn. The character/world building here was perfection. I had tears running down my face it was an emotional roller coaster.

I appreciate Lisa writing this book topic because domestic trafficking is not talked about enough and is a very large wide issue in our world. This book alone makes an impact, gives voice to those who didn’t or do not have them.

As difficult and dark as this book may be I highly recommend it as a read. I give this book 5-stars. To capture all that and bring the reader into that world like Lisa Harding has. I have recommended this to go all all my female friends/families reading lists.

I love a good fiction | mystery | suspense book and I’m a sucker for a great story about a get together gone mysteriously wrong but this one just didn’t hit that ‘got to have more’ note for me. I love good twists and turns that leave me turning the pages one after the other & anticipating the next and guessing what was going to happen but I sadly didn’t get that from this.

I did love all the characters, I felt like I could relate to their relationships to real life girlfriend relationships and the screenplay pages were fantastic and I love that concept. I would have enjoyed more of those but this was still wonderful!

I think that overall this is a great mystery book for a weekend away or a fun book club read. Simply because it didn’t hit that craving for me in the right spots does not mean it won’t for others, this was OVERALL good and aside from it all, I will absolutely purchase it for my own personal collection. I enjoyed the ending and I will absolutely be reaching for Jilly’s other work but I gave this particular book a 4-star.

A huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to provide my honest feedback of 'Scenes of The Crime’.
