Rereading this, bring back so many emotions and feelings.

I think this author writes really great infidelity or cheating romances, and I will always buy those. I am so glad I got the blackout romance special addition, because I do think that she deserves it.

Funny, very entertaining, and sorta of spicy. Or I should say spicy enough for a 400+ page book.

I did find their banter, so funny and very swoon worthy. I loved it when they interacted together and when they were pining for each other while being together.

I wish there was more karmic justice for both of them when it comes to their family, or I kind of wish we saw the karmic justice, but it was good no matter.

For a novella, this was pretty good it made me want to dive deeper into their story.

If there is a next book with them as the couple, I would read it because they’re whole dynamic is just very interesting and I wouldn’t consider it a romance I would consider it maybe like codependence or on the verge of obsessive lust.

I have so many mixed feelings about this story it’s crazy.

I did tear up a couple of times, I understood or somewhat understood the pain that opal was going through!

Marshall do the situation the way he did was crazy, and then to have his family. Treat her the way they treated her was even crazier. Besides, his youngest brother.

This is a lot of taken and to process, but I think how I rated it is fair to it, but would I reread this again? No!

Wish there was a little more angst in the plot, but otherwise I really did enjoy it.

Especially when it ends you into thinking he did this one thing & bam you get hit with something else.

Although not drama filled still gave me the swoon that I needed.

I will say I’m am glad I read Iced Out first, because I probably won’t have been invested in the series if I read this one first.

When it comes to this type of story, cheating, I love how Alison plays it out.

This was so good, and I really want to have it in a physical. I’m so glad that everything kinda worked out and we got to see that. Yes it’s his fault for some of the stuff happening, but it’s also her fault for not trying to tell him at different times in both their lives.

Updated 11/4/23 - Changed to a 4 star because I think the plot was a little too long winded when it came to the bombs that had been dropped. But everything else I still loved and had a great time rereading. So know I’m actually going to the next book.

Wow

I don’t know why I haven’t read this because it features a very possessive and obsessive hero.

I have been nervous about this, but this exceeded my expectations and it’s made me want to get a physical copy! So I’m definitely going to get the whole entire series in physical copy form and binge it.

Our hero is the epitome of what I want my heroes to be! Love him!!
