You get what you see when it comes to this! Very quick & doesn’t really give you a satisfying HEA, but an HEA in the end!

For what it was it was okay. I understand that it’s short so conflict between the cousins couldn’t be like really hashed out nor could it be a more engaging conflict, but if you get past some of the plot holes that weren’t flushed out it was OK.

Although I did enjoy reading it for what it was, I thought there would be more explicit steam, but it was more figurative I guess like it told us that they were doing something without explicitly telling us they were doing something
I didn’t realize that the story was mainly focused on the investigation, like it should be then the romance, even though the romance did take a sort of backseat.
Maybe next month or so I will read the fourth or fifth in the series cause I know that one has the infidelity in it but right now I’m just gonna go back to a nice steamy romance.

Although I did enjoy reading this, I felt that it started to drag when halfway through the book. There was no spice scenes. It was just only banter and the tension building.
Then once the spice scenes, I started to lose interest, but it did bring me back, but towards the very end, I had to force myself to keep reading.
I think for me, it’s because it’s almost 500 pages and the first 300 are so pages weren’t tension building, but banter.
That being said, this was very good writing wise, since I did give up on the first book Because of how dry everything was, this book, felt more well written with their dynamic and the conflict.
I enjoyed it, but I don’t think I would reread this!

OMG! This is one the one for me. I love how Niko & Bran are together. I can see this definitely as a grumpy x sunshine that is dark, but I love them two. I love how persistent and unrelenting Niko was to be with Brandon. I love how he knew that he would have to be evil person and their relationship in order for him to get through his walls.
Brandon person calm down Nikolai demons. I know, I wouldn’t say tame but almost mute his very destructive and violent tendencies. I love both of them together. I really really enjoyed reading this. The spice was off the charts and it was good. Seeing the other characters go through their stories. Also seeing the story play out.
This is now ranked number two of my top five legacy of God series. God of malice still, number one. I cannot wait to get the special editions of the ones I love and enjoy! I will be recommending this as a read to everyone.
