This is great plot and drama, but a liiiiiitttle lacking on developing the romance. If that aspect were a bit richer, this could be 5 stars. I don't think Lauren really had enough growth to show her going from a calculating villain to someone we could love, at least not until after the show is over. Anyway very fun overall and I've always wanted a concept like this

This had all the potential, which is why it truly demonstrates Katee Robert and I do not work. Her writing is not for me and I'm done trying

I think the writing is fine and I could potentially enjoy it by the end, but damn is this story so hopeless and joyless. How am I supposed to get onboard with a romance when there is no charm or softness? The main character is forced to be angry and defensive at all times so I feel she doesn't even have a personality. I need something to hold onto while I wait for things to get better

The characters didn't grip me in this one 

This was not poorly executed miscommunication but it still is miscommunication and that's it's biggest downfall. The characters are compelling and I wanted them to work, I merely wanted them to each get over themselves and have a real conversation 

This is so slowwwwwwwww. The characters are not compelling enough to make up for how little is happening. And the reviews say barely anything happens in the whole book. I just wanted cool dragon friends and I know this wasn't going to give me that so bye bye 

The book was well written, the characters compelling, but I had to drop it after there was a Tesla fangirl moment. I genuinely could not go on. This girl's one passion in life is fighting gentrification yet she swoons over Tesla features??
