Winter Lost by Patricia Briggs

I was confused for a chunk of this but so was everyone in the book, lol. It was interesting exploring other characters perspectives in the interlude's. I also, as usual, enjoyed the folklore and mythology figures included.

I found myself a bit confused in several parts. There's a big time jump from the previous volume that is not clear at first. The author says you can read them back to back, you can but I think reading in chronological order with the other series in this Youniverse would be better. That being said the art and story continues ot be good. This volumes storyline was a bit slower but more unique to me. And the fight scenes are better drawn (or panel order is better), so you can follow their movements better than in the last one.

Wow, this had me gripped from beginning to end. I loved the various Wes African folklore and history given in the interludes to show the inspirations. I'm a bit suspicious about the death of one character. The plot was good, if slightly predictable after a certain point. And the art was amazing. Some fight scenes got confusing but otherwise great. On to volume 2, which seems to be set during more modern times. And definitely interested in this Youniverse as a whole now.

I surprisingly enjoyed this immensely despite not caring too much about the Fantastic Four. Also a few storyline surprises in there for me. Ones I'd like to delve deeper into.

That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf by Kimberly Lemming
4.5
I enjoyed this one more than the first one. This relationship get together was more my speed. There are still plot conveniences to make the story go by quick and short, but less of them in my opinion. Or maybe I'm more used to them now. Definitely entrenched in this world now. Fun and quick paranormal romance.
Black Cloud Volume 2: No Return by Jason Latour

Slightly better than the last one. But still not clear. I feel some closure now though.
