A nice modern twist with excellent #vintagevibesnotvalues. Loved Gordo! The way his (and the horse's) expressions were illustrated were always adorably on point! Will definitely look out for more work by Berenice Nelle and Naomi Franquiz. Loved Izzy's parents, too. Her mom especially! - "I know, I know. 'Books aren't a substitute for human interaction.' " Loved the Historical Society's supportive pamphlets there at the end as well.
