This book had a good foundation story, diverse characters, and a solid drive and goal for the characters from beginning to end. I liked how the struggles and the harrasment that the charaters experienced are actually a lot of the actual harassment that a lot of women from especially lower classes actually experience in real life. I just love how that was interwoven into the story and how real yet respectful it was told and portrayed. The beginning was really strong especially with the introduction of the world and the different castes and the Paper Girls set up. But I felt like this book lacked a bit of punch as it kept going. I feel like if it would’ve included more scenes of Wren’s life (the things that were happening to her during that time) and a bit of faster pacing as well as more tension building, the book would’ve been more engagin and exciting and would’ve kept the reader hooked until the end. This book was okay and I would definitely recommend it but I wish it would’ve been seasoned more and had more action in it.
