The writing was very repetitive and the part I stopped reading at was very info-dumpy. It felt like the author was talking down to the reader/thought that the reader was not paying attention or something with the amount and type of information repeated. The overall concept and plot was intriguing and I was interested in the world and what was going to happen next, but the writing style did it for me. Also, the main characters felt younger than 16 and the overall book does not feel like YA. I have read middle grades that seem to target an older age demographic. I am just overall confused with what the target demographic and marketing of the book.

I kinda flew through the book without much thought. It was entertaining and a really good graphic novel, I just didn’t absorb what was happening during the story. I also read the first book in the series two years ago, and the second a year ago, so I do not remember anything that happened. So I probably should reread all of the books in the series one after the other next time.

I loved Veronica and Stoker's relationship and its development. The mystery was not what I expected, and I did not feel as tense or invested as the characters did. Overall, enjoyed the book.
Just not feeling it right now. I would rather read another book than this one at the moment. Also, there wasn’t as much of a heist aspect than I wanted, too low of stakes to make the planning seem tense.
Brain-Dump of My Thoughts. I cannot believe that the plot line doesn't get resolved in this book, Amari lost her magic, and all the discrimination Amari was put through by Harlowe and everyone else. I'm only slightly frustrated by the cliffhanger because I can't pick up the next book in the series instantly. The reveals at the end weren't quite satisfying, but I did not see them coming (Merlin using the time-stop stone, especially Dylan winning the crown and a war inevitably starting). I was waiting on what Harlowe's supernatural ability was, and I expected it to be much more dangerous
