At first I was overwhelmed with all the numerous details I just couldn't remember from the previous books, but soon I caught up with everything and became so invested in the story. I just had to read the final 200 pages in one sitting. What a way to wrap the trilogy – a cliffhanger – sure there's got to be a sequel or a brand new series? I'm so excited already!

Things I didn't like or care about: Avery's love life and the love triangle between her and two brothers. no thanks. Also the very existence of Eve as a character felt a bit unnecessary and complicated things for no reason.

But damn do I love treasure hunts.

Wow. I'm speechless. I'd wanted to read this for so long, and it exceeded every expectation I had. Such a raw story. Very emotional and thought-provoking. I don't understand how and why this has been banned in some places – in no way could this book ever promote n*zism in a good way. Everyone should read this; massive content warnings for everything related to the Holocaust and WW2 though. Still, very important.

I ja II osista tykkäsin paljon, ne sisälsivät eniten moderneja, riimittömiäkin runoja. III osa alkoi olla jo stereotypisemmän runon puolella ja tarkka mitan noudatus alkoi ärsyttämään, IV osaan taas oli vaikea keskittyä jo hyvin vanhanaikaisen fontin takia.

en ajatellut että tykkäisin tästä näin(kin) paljon, hahmoista en kyllä tykännyt oikein kenestäkään mutta eivät he silti huonoja olleet

The theme was good for a spin-off/prequel, but I also can't see any reasons for why this book was written in the first place.

I've never been so invested in any sport as I was in tennis while reading this book! So intense. Through Carrie Soto I could see what I would have become as an athlete - the ever-so-greedy perfectionist that hates losing - but also I'm glad that my imposter syndrome reminds me to be humble. The book could have had some more scenes outside the tennis courts, as if Carrie didn't have a life outside them, but then again she probably didn't and the storyline perfectly reflects that. It's so weird but also cool af that Taylor Jenkins Reid always manages to create characters that feel so real, like any real-life celebrities and whatnot, while still being completely fictional.
