blue moon frustrated me. the first half of the novel was slow paced and dull, and it felt totally unnecessary.

all the characters got on my nerves, especially damen. and for fucks sake, ever! you’re so fucking oblivious, man.

“forgiveness is healing.” he smiles. “especially forgiving yourself.”

the ending was definitely unexpected, that’s for sure. also, can we just talk about how annoying damen was at times?! for fucks sake man, get off of stacia already.

the writing style wasn’t my favorite, but it definitely grew on me as the story progressed. i loved mason and lulu, they were incredible characters. the ending was almost perfect, everything tied up with a little bow.

i was extremely close to DNFing this book due to the extremely slow pace. but i’m glad i continued reading because things really started picking up around page 150.

bryn is such a likable character, and i love that, through all of her struggles, she managed to stay out of petty drama. i can’t wait to read the next book.

here’s the issue: i really, really wanted to like this book. in fact, i was extremely excited to read Taken by Storm, but i DNFd around 100 pages. unfortunately, this series was super tedious, and i felt like i was reading the same thing over and over again.

i’m sure at some point i will return to this book and give it another shot.
