I greatly enjoyed this book! I don’t read mystery novels that much, but the title piqued my interest straight away and I’m so happy to have read this. Funny, tense, and full of delicious Italian food and scenery, the mystery of who wanted to kill Connor- and Eleanor- was engaging and addictive. A perfect read for summer!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.
Somebody else was requesting my library copy. Additionally, pacing was slow and while the writing is technically good, I didn’t feel much emotion towards the characters. This book would be a good introduction for those wanting to read historical romance for the first time, but for more seasoned readers it might feel a bit trope-y and redundant.
