The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert

2.75* The story felt slightly rushed and i found myself rereading a lot because I was lost/confused at what had just happened.
One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus

I preferred the first book to this one, it felt a little slow and I was expecting a bigger twist/more drama. The end had me wishing the story would continue and that the slower parts in the beginning were cut out, it was good and I enjoyed it but compared to One of Us is Lying it was just okay.
The Babysitters Coven by Kate M. Williams

This book felt so juvenile, the characters were 17 but acted like they were maybe 13, which isn’t a bad thing except it didn’t work at all with the magical element. It was so slow but also so rushed and nothing felt realistic or genuine. Really disappointing!
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

I love summer books, and this was no exception! I did feel like it was quite long and maybe could have done without some of the fluff however most of it worked and really told the whole story of the whole summer, which I enjoyed. This story is set in the same town as Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson and there were a few spoilers of the ending of that story in here, which I wasn't a fan of. If I hadn't already read that book it would have bothered me more though. Overall I really enjoyed the romance and the friendship dynamic, 4.5*!
The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword by Anne Mazer, Monica Gesue

I had a really vivid memory of these books so I decided to reread them for fun. It was so weird because I remembered all the characters, but also not enjoyable because I'm 24 and not the target audience of a book where the characters are 10 lol, I think i'm good with nostalgia reading for awhile.
That's The Way The Cookie Crumbles by Anne Mazer, Lynn Gesue

I used to love the entire Abby Hayes series so I wanted to re-read a few of the most familiar ones again. I read this because the cover was so aggressively familiar, however I didn't remember the story at all. It was okay for a 6th grade story, Abby learns a lesson about getting in trouble, nothing special. Felt younger than the characters are supposed to be, though.
