2.75* I liked the story, but the first half was bland and it was too long, there was a lot of fluff. I usually really love multi perspective stories but it was weird that these were all told in third person?? I loved the setting though, and the ending was cute.

I love these characters, and while a little less action packed than the first, I was never bored. Everything fell into place perfectly and the ending made me so happy!

3.5* I enjoyed reading this but I also really hated it. The first part was slow to get into but once it started to pick up it was enjoyable. The second part was probably my favourite, and the third was just wtf?? The story made me feel bad for Snow (ugh) but also made me hate him even more than I did in the original series. It gave a good backstory and made links to the Hunger Games which I liked, but the third part was just so weird and the ending was so abrupt. Overall I enjoyed being in the hunger games world again, even if I kind of hated reading about Snow.

A really fun read! I also loved that the main character was into geology!

Really good! Fast paced, I never felt bored or that anything was drawn out or irrelevant, it was more mystery than thriller. The twist wasn't extremely shocking but it was still pretty unexpected and the ending was satisfying.

3.75* I picked this up entirely because of the cover, and it was really good! It didn’t feel too juvenile even though it’s a middle grade, and the story kept me interested all the way through. It’s short and things happen very quickly but I really enjoyed the boarding school setting!

2.5* This book was ???? I read this completely because it’s set at camp, and I enjoyed the camp plot, but the relationship/cheating plot was GARBAGE. It’s a continuous stream of wtf is going on. What the heck kind of camp has so many drugs and alcohol?? The main character is a trash person but I’m supposed to feel bad for her? No thanks. The beginning of the book is goodish and the last half is atrocious. If you’re looking for a good summer camp book, this aint it.

This book is not good, it has so many cliche’s and tropes and an over the top mean girl. HOWEVER, I really enjoyed it. I loved the summer camp setting, and being a camp counsellor it made me feel at home. A lot of the tropes where extremely over the top, but they were all slightly accurate to my camp experience and I really loved the friendship dynamic. I also appreciated the Hannah Montana and Jonas brothers references.
