Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly

I love the facts portrayed in this book that are kinda glossed over in the movie. Definitely a different feel than the movie, but very satisfying and empowering.

Beautiful audiobook! Contains music to accompany the stories. Tugged at my heart and made me reflect. Very clean and uplifting. :)
Moment Of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World by Melinda Gates
5.0
Very eye opening book where Melinda shares stories of women and men around the world how when especially women are empowered it lifts communities and families. She does a great job letting the stories speak for themselves and not overshadowing them. I was shocked by some of the things happening in the world but very grateful for her words and love. Would definitely recommend although there are some parts that might be jarring.
We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter

Very heavy in some parts as the horrors of war are spilled, but it was very well crafted together and is based on a true story. My favorite part was the authors note at the end.
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

One of those classics you hear about your whole life and finally get around to reading. It was definitely slow in some parts, but so uplifting. The imagery of the growing garden coming alive just fills my heart and makes me feel so alive myself. Its definitely a classic worth reading.
The Brave Learner: Finding Everyday Magic in Homeschool, Learning, and Life by Julie Bogart

Loved her ideas and helps for homeschooling. Her way of thinking about teaching and learning can be applied to any parent/child relationship- home school, public school, or somewhere in between. It's a different way of thinking
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
4.0
4.5 Very entertaining and unexpected! It's definitely a book you have to pay attention to if you want to know whats happening- not one i could listen to while doing other things. I am in awe of how well the mystery is crafted. It got a little tedious for me in the end, but I love how it wrapped up. It was a little gruesome- I felt a little uncomfortable, but I am very sensitive to violence. Pretty clean, nothing overly sexual.
