OKAY SO. First of all this took me forever to get through because I did not read the synopsis carefully and didn't realize it was
a forced outing book
, which is my b, and I cannot emotionally handle reading those at this time.

Other than that (which is fully a me thing not a book thing) this book was a delight! I learned so much - if you too went through a public school health class you will probably also learn a bunch about HIV/AIDs/general sex positivity. "Use a condom every time, even with oral" "Sounds fake but okay" made me absolutely scream.

This book definitely read like a debut, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I'm excited for Camryn's next book and to watch her grow into a YA powerhouse.

What I wanted: Scream
What I got: not that.

Also, for the record, all cat owners would immediately be killed in this universe because I OFTEN find things not in the place I know I left them and I always assume it was one of the cats and not a serial killer.

This was fine. It dragged a lot in the middle for me and could have benefited from not being 400 pages? I've never read the original so I'm not sure how it stacks up as a retelling.

I do have to say though, it is super sketchy to sleep with the little sister of the girl you're in love with. Super sketchy.
