Me gustó mucho. Me hizo llorar al principio. Muy fácil de leer, es cortito así que lo terminas rápido. Una escena en particular me dejó O.o, y sentí que pudo haber sido más largo, que el final fue muy abrupto... pero igual fue una muy buena lectura.

I expected more of this book. It has a nice message, but... I did not like Rafe all that much. And the ending was... WTF man.

That been said, it was a nice reading between "heavier" books.

I feel like nothing really happened on this book, it was really... meh. The first one was much better.

And America is an incredibly annoying character, omg. I don't think she deserves Maxon -or Aspen, for that matter. She is so selfish with both of them;

and she is determined to think the very worst of Maxon without any prove. Not even the benefit of the doubt. What's up with that?? :S And then she is hurt because he said he doesn't trust her. Shocker.


Oh, oh, oh, and I'm amazed at the people hating on Maxon because he was with Celeste when, I'm sorry, but... since the very beginning ALL OF US KNEW HE WAS DATING ALL OF THE GIRLS. I get that America doesn't like that part one bit, I get it, because who would like dating someone who was dating 30 more girls? But nonetheless, SHE KNEW. From the very beginning. And then, the people are mad a Maxon for this, when America makes out with Aspen the whole book. Do Maxon knows about Aspen, that he is in the castle, that he is competing? OH NO, HE DOESN'T KNOW. Oh please tell how is OH SO FINE that America do what she wants with Aspen (without Maxon knowing anything), but Maxon is such a jerk because he is dating other girls. Give me a break. -_-

I'm still curious where this is going, so I'll be reading the next book, in the hopes that is much, much better than this one.

For my english speaking friends: This book was slow, and descriptive, and NOTHING happened in it. I didn't like it, I don't understand the hype AT ALL, I just liked ONE character in the whole book, and I'm mad because it wasn't just a bad book, but an EXPENSIVE book. I'm mad, mad, mad.

A esto es lo que yo le llamo tirar 1100 pesos (25 dólares) a la basura. Good lord. Tenía tantas espectativas con este libro, TANTAS... Y pensaba que se iban a cumplir, el inicio fue muy prometedor. Pero no. No.

En este libro NADA PASA, NADA ACONTECE, NADA CONMUEVE HASTA LA RAIZ.

Este es LENTO, increíblemente LENTO, y entonces ¿cómo es que un libro tan lento y donde nada pasa tiene 475 páginas?? Es que no lo entiendo.

¿Y saben qué más no entiendo? ¡¿Cómo este libro tiene tanto hype?! ¡¿Cómo este libro tiene un rating de 4.31 en Goodreads?! ¡¿Cómo este libro es una trilogía?!

Yo leo muchas críticas antes de comprar un libro, y todas las críticas de este libro fueron buenas. La trama, una distopía, niños con poderes... todas cosas que me gustan. ¡¡¿Qué pasó?!! Ah, ya sé. NADA. Nada pasó en todo el p... libro.

Este libro se suma a mi lista de libros que leí por el hype y que no voy a continuar, uniéndose así a Mara Dyer y Delirium.


Dios mío. Es que no lo supero. No supero este libro. NO supero lo malo que fue y no supero TODO EL DINERO QUE DI POR EL.

I really, really liked it.

Me gustó desde el principio. Me encantó la relación entre Jacob y su abuelo: el cariño que a pesar de todo Jacob sentía por él. Las fotos fueron perfectas, justo lo que el libro necesitaba: old and creepy. A mí me encantan cuando los libros vienen con imágenes, y me hubiese gustado tener este libro en físico (pero lo compré a un dólar en kindle, ¿cómo resistir eso?).

También fue un gran plus que el romance tuviera su parte, pero no le quitara protagonismo a la historia. Ese problema lo he venido viendo con MUCHOS, DEMASIADOS libros: te prometen una distopía, o fantasía, o misterio, o ciencia ficción... cuando en realidad es un romance con un poquito de lo otro.

Ahora, volviendo a lo importante: en este libro el romance fue poco, pero estuvo ahí... Y no estoy segura si me gustó o no.

Ella tiene 88 años y él 16... like, NO. No importa cómo ella se vea por fuera. Y aún más, ella estaba enamorada de su abuelo. C'MON. No. Creepy.

De los niños peculiares, el que más me gustó fue Millard. Eso de que él sea SIEMPRE invisible me llamó muchísimo la atención, y la verdad me gustaría leer algo desde su punto de vista. A decir verdad, sería muy enriquecedor para la historia que el autor escribiera desde diferentes puntos de vista y no sólo de Jacob. No sé si eso va a pasar o no en los libros siguientes, pero sería muy bueno.

Definitivamente voy a leer Hollow City en un futuro.

This was REALLY good!

The only bad thing is that the start is really slow and even a bit boring, and I was expecting just a little bit more from the ending.

Other than that, it was so great! When it got interesting, it was REALLY interesting, I couldn't stop reading! I liked the playlists too :)

And I have to say that the hardcover edition IS SO GORGEOUS!! Yep, good good book = )

Gosh... I don't even know...
