Highly disturbing. Felt sick as events got worse & worse.
Struggled w writing style & narration at first, but in the end it all made sense to me. No rating as it's not my place, but everyone should read this.

Obsession-worthy. Weird, morally complex characters. Rare prose. Lots of ppl hate the narration but I weirdly loved it?

The compelling diaries of Kathleen Johnstone, a WW2 nurse-in-training. At once heartfelt and emotionally detached, such is the line a WW2 nurse must tread. Fresh voice, wonderfully written.

I turned to this book while in disordered eating and this book catered to that. Absolutely horrible. She advocates covering your mouth with tape while cooking to avoid "BLTs" (bites, licks, and tastes). This book is monstrous.
