It was fun and I had a good time reading it, but it wasn't profound or something I'll find myself thinking about again like how I felt with Yumi and the Nightmare Painter
I read this whole book at work and tried not to cry the whole time. I am devastated, truly, like goddamn. Who knew a woman bringing the tv into the bathroom for her wife and her to watch jaws would make me cry.
I was listening to an audio version of this book, but I was getting confused just due to the amount of characters. I plan to get a physical copy to read because I did enjoy what I listened too already.
I'll always eat up a sapphic romance where one of the girls is sports star and the other is either a cheerleader or just something that's seen as "typically" femme. I just will without a doubt eat it up.
I don't even care I'll die for this book. I'll die for oak, wren, Jude, Carden, not Taryn, but you know. I RLLY HOPE WE GET MORE ELFHAME BOOKS I NEED MORE‼️ I need the undersea.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I liked the story over all, I think it was beautiful and I really loved the Fatyan and Yzabel as a couple. To me though the ending felt so rushed, it felt like all the sudden it was over and that I didn't have the closure I was hoping for.
While I did enjoy this story over all and I feel as though it is meaningful, I just had moments when I felt like I was banging my head against a wall. Saleem was so sweet though, even if at times he too made me want to bang my head against a wall. The relationship Quique had with his teacher was one that felt undefined in an uncomfortable way. I knew that his teacher wouldn't do anything with Quique, and although he was like "don't say things like that or I'll kick you out," it never felt like he meant it because Quique kept going. All in all that part and their dynamic was just really uncomfortable for me.
