there were moments where i just didn't want to finish the book. it was absolutely gutwrenching and i could feel myself getting emotional so quickly. so raw and so real and so painful that it was also a beautiful read. thank you for sharing this michelle.

i like to read books where i feel seen but i dont like it when its so direct. this book was so direct. not that thats a bad thing it just wasnt my cup of tea. i did like it overall. helped me understand myself and just develop a better understanding of people in general.

when i first read the synopsis i didn't understand it. when i read it again i still didn't understand it. so i just picked up the book and read it and i loved it. it was brilliant and sent me on the most thrilling emotional ride which is so hard for me to feel with books....... the story was so compelling. the concept of right person wrong time but just so much better. i didn't expect the story to be the way that it was and i'm so thankful for it. it was good. it was really good.

loved reading in different perspectives. cassandra's story was so sad. no one would listen to her and she was relieved only when
her time came
. and clytemnestra :( god. what happened to her was so sad too. a mother's love truly is so strong. reading about what happened to
iphigenia
in song of achilles was one thing but to read it in clytemnestra's point of view made it worse. i don't sympathize much with elektra. i understand why she turned out the way she did but. i dunno.
she was driven by revenge. the one thing she hated her mother for
.

circe is about circe. it's a telling of her story from the beginning of being born as an immortal being to her ending
(as a mortal one)
. the book tells us everything about circe - she quite literally is an open book in this book! it was written so well, although sometimes too long and i found it difficult to stay focused, the story itself was enlightening because it tells us of how other beings (mortals and immortals alike) played their roles in circe's life. it was a good telling of her story.

so good. love books written like this where we get to see different stories / perspectives from different characters. and i love how the stories in this particular book had the characters connected to each other somehow ! and how you can form your own takeaways from their individual stories. it gave us characters of different age groups and showed us how not everyone has it figured out. someone could be retired and confused about what to do with their life. no one is exempt from questioning life and this book gives us stories we can come back to at any point in time.

definitely a thinker. which is a good thing! i liked the overarching theme of finding life's purpose and asking ourselves whether or not we're doing what we need to do to fulfill our personal purposes.

liked it more than i thought i would. my personal main takeaway is the theme of self discovery and how painful it can be. was written so well. and patroclus and achilles's relationship was lovely. painful but it was all the more crucial to the story if that makes sense.

??????? i havent burned through a book so fast in a really long time. it had me seated and i almost skipped my afternoon nap cause i wanted to keep reading. it wasnt just sadie and julius's story that got me but sadie's character as a whole :' ... immersing myself into sadie's story wasn't hard because i knew her character well. so well it almost felt like looking in a mirror. but besides that ! i love enemies to lovers / rivals to lovers or anything like that. this one has to be a fav. so good. so well written. im still cheeky from it. i will forever love this subgenre of romance. i hate the sappy stuff. wdym two ppl fall in love w each other despite knowing and fixating on each other's worst flaws??? makes everything so much more raw and real. makes me believe that love isnt hopeless and isnt so sucky. that maybe in spite of the worst parts of myself someone might l*ve me too ijbol but wtver! ann liang ur pen was on fire w this one. i hv to give credit where credit is due.
