I seen a couple reviews here dismiss this book as fluff. Sure, it's fluff...but sometimes I want a little fluff. Fluff is soft and friendly and goes well with a coke on a Sunday afternoon. Kaling's writing style is delightful and hilarious and I would recommend this to any of my girlfriends in need of a little palate cleanser.

Was reading this while the decisions on DOMA, Prop 8, The Voting Rights Act, etc. were handled down and it really helped illuminate the rulings. Thoroughly readable and thoughtful...even if you've never taken any law school classes.
