A very comprehensive history that I’d definitely recommend to anyone trying to learn about the context for the current genocide in Gaza. It was very jam-packed with information, which made it slow for me to get through, but definitely worth the time. I always have a hard time rating/reviewing nonfiction when I usually read fiction, but I definitely recommend this book.

I did like this book but it felt a little less tight than the previous two in the series. Still loved it though! Especially love Shallan and her internal journey.

When I first started this book, I thought I might be getting tired of reading Brandon Sanderson. Now that I’ve finished it, I know I was wrong. The prologues of these books throws me off, but once it returns to Kaladin and Shallan, it picked up for me. Absolutely loved this book and I was unable to put it down.

This was an emotional ending to the trilogy. I really enjoyed it, Wren and Lei’s relationship continues to be the best and most real part of this series to me.

I didn’t like the action in this book nearly as much as the first one, and a lot of the dialogue felt very corny. However, Wren and Lei’s relationship is a huge highlight in this book and it was very well written. I’m now done rereading the books I’ve read already and am excited to read the third, which I have not read. This suffers slightly from “second book filler” and felt like a lot of nothing action, as opposed to the first book which felt like it was paced better. But I have to stress how much I love Wren and Lei’s relationship despite these issues. They’re very well written. I didn’t care much for the other side characters introduced in this book.

Maybe I’ve over saturated myself with Sanderson recently, but this book just felt unnecessary to me. Random Cosmere lore with probably huge implications thrown into a side novella that didn’t feel like it had much heart or plot.

I really wanted to enjoy this, but I didn’t. The main thing was the pacing just felt off, things were happening but it didn’t flow well.

I’m glad I read it for the historical value but let’s just say literature has certainly improved over the past thousands of years

Favorite story was probably The Book of Martha. I liked a lot of them but nothing stood out as amazing.
