This book has done It's purpose perfectly. I needed a book to help me fall asleep and it worked every single time ♡ As for the content of the book, it was cute but nothing extraordinary, I actually don't know why this book is so popular. In the end it's about how preconceived ideas can influence our emotions, relationships and even our bodies. But I don't like the father that much. He experienced extreme grief over his lost wife but ruined his child in the process. I know it's just a children's book and not everything has to be a deep spiritual journey BUT my personal experience was affected by this. All this being said my review should be taken with a grain of salt as I slept through more than half of the book.

I get why Agatha Christie said this was her favorite. I enjoyed it greatly. The dialog was intriguing and insightful. The characters were very well-written and are probably the best and most vivid characters I have ever witnessed in a Christie book. Each and everyone one of them was interesting. As for the final indictment, the hints were there all along it's almost obvious who did it. But they're the kind of clues that you don't realize who they're pointing to until the very end, and then you blame yourself for not being smart enough. I predicted some things. Some clues were in plain sight it's almost frustrating that the police couldn't connect the dots earlier. But still, I kept questioning and changing who I thought did it almost till the very end. The ending was great and I think this book will also be one of my favorites.

I knew almost nothing about Astrophysics but I was really interested to learn more. I picked up this book because of two reasons, it's only 200 pages long and the author is Neil degrasse Tyson, who is known for simplifying scientific concepts. I also loved his show "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey". Of course since the book is short some details are overlooked so I had to constantly be assisted by Google. Nevertheless, I learned a LOT and my interest in Astrophysics grew even more and I think this book gave me a base on which I'd further build my knowledge. Overall, I truly enjoyed reading it and it's actually the first non-fiction book I've completed. The only downside to this entire book is the last chapter "Reflections on The Cosmic Perspective". It's not a 100% bad but I just didn't like it, I didn't know why it was necessary to add. The cosmic perspective is interesting but I don't find Neil's personal reflections on it as interesting? Idk. All this being said, it's still a good fun book that doesn't feel so dense, so it serves as a great gateway to Astrophysics for beginners.
